Schwäbisch Gmünd boasts a charming old town with magnificent patrician houses, historic city towers, venerable monasteries and churches, a modern convention center (CCS), and a rich tradition of silver and goldsmithing. It is largely thanks to independent workshops and designers that this cultural heritage remains alive and well in the 21st century. Every year, this heritage is on full display at the Schwäbisch Gmünd Jewelry and Art Objects Fair in the Leutze Hall of the convention center.
The creative exhibition, featuring 40 exhibitors, is organized by the Schwäbisch Gmünd Gold and Silver Smithing Foundation. It invites visitors to “immerse themselves in the fascinating world of jewelry and discover unique creations, handcrafted masterpieces, and the latest trends from talented gold and silver smiths and designers.” Selected examples follow:
