Sabine Reichert
The changing seasons are particularly evident in Central Europe. With her necklaces, Sabine Reichert explores memories in her mind and conditions of light and color outdoors. Her jewelry consists of a double-layered basic chain made of silver and acrylic glass and a second layer made of the same materials and attached to the connecting eyelets. A small gap between the silver and the acrylic glass ensures the material’s distinct luminosity. The languid mobility of these pieces evokes chains of office and conjures a ritual character. Reichert’s necklaces speak of the loss of familiar natural phenomena and evoke the wonder and beauty of the changing seasons – before they pass away, there is still hope: the joy of life.
