How quickly a decade passes. From humble beginnings, a small but attractive trade fair for design jewelry and silver has developed. The organizer is the Foundation Gold- und Silberschmiedekunst Schwäbisch Gmünd. The fact that this fair has developed in the former silver town is also thanks to Corinna Heller, Petra Giers, Alkie Osterland and, above all, Doris Raymann-Nowak, who has been members of the advisory board for many years.
The other participants are: Argentalis with silver frames, Atelier AvanTa (Tamara Brötzler), Silberwarenmanufaktur Hermann Bauer GmbH & Co. KG, Julie-Theresia Blumer, Klaus Brötzler, Ulrike Bunte, Martina Ege, Annemarie Engelhardt-Nuss & Rainer Engelhardt, Claudia Heck, Stephanie Henzler, Susanne Högner, Ulrike Knab, Katharina Kolb, Iris Köhnke, Jane Lyon, Rainer Milewski, Schmuckwerkstatt Isabell Naundorf, Thomas Raschke, Sabine Reichert, Ulrike Rößler, Iris Schamberger, Ulrike Scriba (wood art), Tim Udvardi-Lakos, Sibylle Umlauf, Manuel Ün Design, Katrin Wacker, Barbara Weiss, Trude Wendelstein, Tanja Zessel and Juliane Zimmerer.
Also taking part Berufskolleg für Design, Schmuck und Gerät as well as Fachschule für Gestaltung – Schmuck und Gerät and the Edelmetallverband [Precious Metals Association] Schwäbisch Gmünd. The Leutze Hall of the Congress Center Stadtgarten provides an attractive setting.
The opening will take place on Friday, October 4, 7:30 pm. Richard Arnold, Lord Mayor of Schwäbisch Gmünd, and Karl Kurz, Head of Finance of the Ostalbkreis district, will give welcoming addresses. Musical accompaniment: Rostislav Balciunas, marimba.
The invitation to the trade fair states: “The prospects for a golden start to October 2024 could hardly be brighter: With 36 exhibitors, the 10th Gmünd Fair for Jewelry & Silverware invites you to come, look and fall in love. The variety and elegance of the sparkling unique pieces leave nothing to be desired! These precious works of art will accompany you for a lifetime.
