Eiden – Porzellan
Vitality, chance and repetition. These are the elements Dagmar Eiden combines in her everyday tableware of timeless beauty. On the table every day. The handmade nature of the pieces means that each one is subtly but consistently different. The Haiku series – named after the Japanese three-line poem – comes to life through the different relief patterns. Simple shapes, the cream-colored base tone of the porcelain and the slight irregularities created by the handwork give the porcelain a delicate and soft appearance. A haptic experience. Our attention is focused on the moment, when we eat, drink, look, enjoy, live. In her vases and dishes, Dagmar Eiden translates old forms into delicate, magical, translucent porcelain with plenty of room for imagination. Memories of rustic ceramics, old hyacinth vases, brought into the modern age by the choice of material: porcelain, cast, dyed through and shimmering matt.
