The Rhode Island School of Design is an American college for art and design in Providence, the capital of the US state of Rhode Island.
We seek candidates with deep understanding and applied experience in both traditional and contemporary jewelry and metalsmithing practices. The candidate should have a solid foundation in art and design concepts, demonstrate advanced jewelry and metalsmithing skills, demonstrate a capacity for critical thinking and discourse, and possess knowledge of the history of the discipline, as well as contemporary topics/theories. An active studio/research practice, complemented by a strong critical voice and a knowledgeable perspective on contemporary dialogues, is essential for this core faculty position.
