The 2016 edition of Autor international contemporary jewelry fair takes place on the 16th and 17th of April, at the Grand Hotel du Boulevard, in Bucharest. After seven years of bringing together in Romania hundreds of artists and thousands of contemporary jewelry aficionados from all over the world, Autor has now the magnitude of an annual event. Autor 2016 will showcase the newest contemporary jewelry collections from designers reaching in form all over the world: more than 150 artists have sent their proposals for the first annual edition of Autor Fair. Participating designers were selected by a Jury made up by: Sofia Björkman – Jewellery artist and Founder of Gallery Platina in Stockholm, Doris Maninger – Director of Alchimia Jewelry School in Florence, Lucia Massei – Director of Alchimia Jewelry School in Florence, Ruudt Peters – Artist Professor Opere Summer School in The Netherlands, Paulo Ribeiro – Founder and Director of Joya Barcelona and Dan Piersinaru – Founder and Director of Autor. The only edition of Autor in 2016 will inaugurate the newly refurbished Grand Hotel du Boulevard, in Bucharest. For two days in April, this architectural gem located downtown Bucharest will host the biggest international jewelry fair in South-Eastern Europe and is expected to receive more than 3.000 guests.
