Tora Urup
Tora Urup’s circular sculptures, formed since 2001, are precisely cut, transparent glass objects joined with layers of different coloured opaque glass. By combining subtle colors and making them interplay with each other by varying the glass thickness, Tora Urup enables new spatial perceptions that reverse our conventional understanding of the traditional glass bowl. Since the design studio for glass and ceramics was founded, Tora Urup worked together with Czech and Japanese craftsmen. Her works are exhibited worldwide and represented in renowned collections.
