A straightforward formal language and high-quality craftsmanship characterize Sarah Küffer’s contemporary jewelry. Her sculptural works, which she sells under the Goldlabor label, can be alternately expressive and extroverted or graceful and mysterious. She designs and handcrafts all her jewelry in small series and from certified recycled precious metals at her goldsmith studio in Bern. Küffer’s ERI collection is inspired by the paperclips that Norwegians wore on their collars and lapels during World War Two as a symbol of resistance and camaraderie. Nowadays the paperclip serves as a sign against racism and for greater solidarity and cohesion.
