Robert Korsikowski
Art should change consciousness. For Robert Korsikowski, this is also the difference between art and consumption, because the latter occurs without reference to our lived reality. How we perceive forms is closely associated with the chosen materials and the utilized technique. The artist also asks himself how much consumption of materials and energy is responsible in the production process. “Does my art strike a balance in the field of tension between utility and the consumption of resources?” He uses traditional wood joining techniques to create his freely constructed, ambiguous objects, which are intended to “open up time-specific perspectives and allow us to recognize in them the general, the recurring.”
