Tomáš Hlavička
Just like his teacher Pavel Hlava, Tomáš Hlavička has a preference for minimalist designs. He crafts each of his glass objects following the principle of making a multi-layer cake, alternating glass plates with strips of carefully cut gold or silver foil and then fusing the structure in the kiln to form a homogenous entity. For quite a while now, this trained architect has increasingly abandoned designing functional items in favor of focusing his attention on sculptural objects instead. His creations have been included in important glass collections in Europe and the USA.
