Batho Gündra
From teachers at the University of Applied Sciences such as Giampaolo Babetto, Franz-Josef Bette, Ilse Dawo and Johanna Dahm, as well as through working as an assistant to Sigrid Delius, Batho Gündra became acquainted with various notions of jewelry. Today, his one-of-a-kind pieces and small series fascinate the beholder with their minimalist clarity and perfect functionality. Thanks to playful elements and the outstanding craftsmanship involved, Gündra’s purist necklaces are characterized by a touch of spontaneity and vividness. In his pendants and rings, gemstones cut in modern shapes take center stage. With his the necklace Sun and Moon Gündra combines geometric clarity and organic softness. The chain Doppelkreise (double circles) was awarded with the State Prize 2013 of Rhineland-Palatinate.
