The jewelry created by Achim Gersmann is characterized by a combination of constructivist austerity with surprising, playful elements. Gersmann, founding member of the Delicatesse group of jewelry designers, was honored twice with the Red Dot Award for high design quality, bestowed by the Design Center of Essen and has also won several other international awards. Two of his pieces have been included in the Modern Jewelry Collection – his P3 ring and his SL necklace. The P3 ring ia an open band with ends shaped into two reversed triangles, inlaid with diamonds. Spheres of different sizes, made from ultra-thin platinum wire, are combined to form his SL necklaces. Fastened at different points on fine yellow gold wire, they sway in unison with the movement of their wearer’s body.
