Crafted exclusively from gallery wire, an ornamental material from the early days of industrial jewelry, Tanja Friedrichs’ Reine Zierde [Pure Adornment] collection bridges the gap between historical jewelry culture and modern jewelry design. After introducing her Pivot line, with its charming play of light in 2011, she unveiled her Méridien de Perle collection in 2014. Once again, the designer gives gallery wire an independent formal expression, this time with magnificent Tahitian pearls that move freely in their grids. Matt and light as a feather, Mirrow now complements the familiar spherical. The individual rings line up snugly around the finger. The earrings gave the collection its name. Their shape is reminiscent of a hand mirror or, framed with diamonds, an illuminated theater mirror. The oval shape resulting from the production is always individual and shows minimal differences in detail, unique as a mirror image. Prices of the jewelry, excluding earrings: 350 to 12,000 euros.
