Sofia Beilharz’s jewelry is captivating thanks to the clarity and purity of its design vocabulary, which combines lightness and austerity, simplicity and surprising complexity. Basic geometric forms frequently serve as the points of departure. These shapes make the pieces look timeless and perennially up-to-date. Their designer uses aluminum, which she prefers because of its lightness, as well as silver, and she almost exclusively opts for the colors silver, gold and black. Again and again, sparingly placed interventions modify the basic form. Folds, curved surfaces or apertures create new perspectives in harmony with each piece’s specific function. Sofia Beilharz’s artworks won an ART AUREA AWARD in 2015.
