Since more than 20 years the Amberif Fair at Gdańsk Poland invites artists and designers from all over the world to contribute their interpretations on the given subjects. An impressive group of international renowned artists has taken part so far and surprised and convinced with their work by using amber in an unseen way.

The goal and the objective of the Competition is to promote amber as a source of artistic expression. The competition´s aim is the design of an original, artistic piece of jewellery with amber, inspired by the topic of the year. Competition curator 2017 is Barbara Schmidt, Munich. Amberif Project Director : Ewa Rachon. Jolanta Kupniewska from Poland was the winner of last years grand prix.
The following prizes will be awarded:
The Mayor of the City of Gdańsk Prize: 10.000 PLN (about 2.380 euros)
The Amber Prize of the International Amber Association : 1 kg of amber
The Silver Prize: 1 kg of silver
Deadline for entries: February 6, 2017
