Crafted exclusively from gallery wire, basically a purely ornamental material used back in the early days of industrial jewelry manufacturing, Tanja Friedrichs’ Pure Adornment collection bridges the gap between classical goldsmithing and modern jewelry design. This graduate designer’s jewelry has been honored with several prizes and awards and is represented in major collections. Selected pieces from her Pure Adornment collection were included in the Modern Jewelry Collection in 2010, 2011 and 2012. After introducing her Pivot line – a fascinating synthesis of tension and light – in 2011, she unveiled her Méridien de Perle collection in 2014, which once again displays the autonomous, formal expressiveness characteristic of Friedrichs’ treatment of gallery wire. Combined with another jewelry classic, the pearl, these pieces are perfectly elegant accessories endowed with structural rhythm. Price ranges between 250 and 3.000 euros.
