Bettina Geistlich / Jewelry

Bettina Geistlich

1972 Born in Schlieren/Zurich, Switzerland
2005 Graduated from the University of Applied Sciences Trier/Idar-Oberstein
2007 Founded her own atelier in Lucerne

Before she developed her formabina collection, Bettina Geistlich taught at the Vocational College for Art and Design in Zurich and at the Edinburgh College of Art. In her pieces, the respective shape, material and crafting technique form an inseparable entity. The airy, flexible body of her yedris ring’s “flower sphere” is composed of six identical flowers crafted from round wire. With its easily movable and softly jingling bands the trema bangle unites austere geometry with a playfully sensual wearing experience. vimina is the name she chose for a ring crafted from gold wire that winds endlessly around a golden core. In 2006, this Swiss jewelry designer won the iF Product Design Award for two of her pieces and in 2009 was awarded the “best of the best” red dot Design Award.
